Business Travel Tips

March 30th, 2008

Business travel is on the rise as an increasing number of companies have customer bases all over the world; the wider range of markets is claimed to be a direct result of the power of the Internet. It is business travelers though who are feeling the strain with increasing stress and fatigue levels. Hopefully the following business travel tips will help you make the most of your travel time, and perhaps even enjoy the trip along the way.

Sometimes for instance, baggage goes missing; that is an unfortunate fact of travel and whilst it is distressing enough on a family holiday, on a business trip it can be disastrous. So, wherever possible, pack as much as you can into your carry on luggage.

Having everything to hand means that your checked luggage get delayed you will still be able to meet with clients and get your work done while you wait for less essential stuff to get chased up by the airlines. The key business travel tip is to pack light and only include the minimum you will need in your main luggage.

In order to accomplish this, make do with a pair of casual shoes and a pair of business shoes only, and be sure to only bring enough work clothes to last you through the trip. All that is left once this is done is to include your toiletries and other business documentation that may be of use.

You should also be able to use a smaller piece of luggage if you roll all of your clothes into a cylinder shape and not fold them as this way they will take up less space and it will reduce the likelihood of creasing which is a business travel tip that flight attendants use all the time. The last thing you want on a business trip is having clothes laundered because something was spilt on them, this can easily be avoided by wearing dark clothes which are able to absorb stains more easily.

If you are delayed for any reason then knowing you can freshen up prior to the meeting without the need for a shower can be a lifesaver, this is where those travel wipes come in very useful. Although most cell phones have very good standby and talk times now, you will need to make sure it and any other electronic equipment are charged up before you go on your journey.

As it is possible to carry out work while you fly, by making the best use of this time you will be able to spend some time relaxing in the evening and perhaps a little site seeing. By following these few quick and handy tips you should find that you will not be on the back foot and no matter what happens during your travel on business, you should have a successful trip.

There is no reason why you shouldn’t enjoy your business travel so adhering to the few, very simple business travel tips given here will make your jouney more enjoyable.</P.

Kona Sport Fishing

March 28th, 2008

If you are going to vacation in Kona and are looking for a great sport fishing charter, look at www.bitemesportfishing.com

I chartered one of their boats for 6 hours and had a great time.  I even caught a 20 pound yellow fin tuna.  The staff on the boat was great.  I was a complete fishing novice and by the time the trip was over I actually knew how to deep sea fish.  The deck hand even cut up my tuna and made us some sushimi right on the boat.

I had a great and memorable time and next time I am in Kona, I will be chartering another boat with www.bitemesportfishing.com

Caribbean Island Cruise

March 28th, 2008

If you have never tried a Caribbean cruise as a vacation then it is time you tried; this type of vacation could be the experience of a lifetime. You can have everything you want with a different Caribbean island every day and all the wonderful evening entertainment of a resort on board the cruise liner. There is guaranteed to be a package to suit you and depending on you budget it can be a short weekend break as a vacation add on or a full 14 days or more.

Sailing is an excellent way to enjoy yourself and this includes a person who just wants to send all day on board enjoying the entertainment to someone who can’t wait to explore all the new sights. Don’t think for one moment that there will not be enough to occupy you as cruise liners are the equivalent of floating vacation resorts that have a different view every day.

Research is the key here if you want something that matches your interests so pay a visit to your local tour agents and find out more about what’s available. Caribbean cruises travel to most parts of the world, but with different price packages for each itinerary together with the duration and the number of places visited.

Some cruise vacations to the Caribbean are for people that like to party with plenty of discos and non-stop entertainment and may not be the ideal place for families. Go to your nearest travel agent for the best Caribbean cruise deal and even try for discounts but you can go to the official website and some may be able to highlight the best packages.

Besides the usual, you need to pack suitable attire for many occasions like formal evening wear as well as beach, deck and other casual wear. There are more formal evenings where women will to have take evening gowns and men will need a tuxedo as you may be invited to the captains table.

A common mistake is for families to believe that cruise vacations aren’t very child friendly which couldn’t be further from the truth as most have more activities for children than they do for adults. In actual fact there is specially trained staff to take care of children that can provide entertainment activities throughout the entire day and during the voyage.

Some Caribbean cruises are specifically for adults only, which ideal for couples, honeymooners and people that would like to have a child free vacation. Honeymooners and couples celebrating wedding anniversaries can also have cruise liner packages tailored to suit them as well.

A Caribbean cruise vacation is the ideal venue for singles, couples and for families as everyone is looked after with a multitude of activities available; no-one ever feels left out.

Kona, Hawaii

March 19th, 2008

I recently visited the big island of Hawai’i on the Kona side.  The big island, as it is commonly called, is actually named Hawai’i.  The island is split into 2 sides by the volcanoe in the middle of the land mass, Kona and Hilo.  Both Kona and Hilo are actually the main towns on either side of the island and each have their own airport to fly into.  Of course you can drive from one side of the island to the other in just a couple of hours.

I actually stayed in the town of Waikoloa at the Bay Resort on the Hilton property approx. 30 miles north of the Kona airport.  ALL I can say is that it is beautiful.  The weather during the week I was there was approx 80 degrees farenheit for a high and 70 degrees for a low.  Now how much better can you get than that ?

If you are looking for a place to go to enjoy the island experience, go to the big island and stay on the Kona side.  You will not be disappointed unless you already live on an island paradise.
